Ryan Prentiss, AKA The Coffee Pedlar always, and we mean, ALWAYS comes to market with a smile on his face. He has a background in being an instructor and climbing specialist for Outward Bound and we're lucky enough to have him at WATM every week serving up the most delicious coffee drinks that are always made with an extra dose of love.
Get to know Ryan, The Coffee Pedlar, a little better...
West Asheville Tailgate Market: How did you get you into vending coffee?
The Coffee Pedlar: I got into selling coffee because of my equal love of people and coffee. Coffee is a great social lubricant and way to connect with others even if the conversations has nothing to do with coffee.
WATM: What's the craziest thing that's ever happened to you at Market?
TCP: The craziest thing that's happened at a market. I had a gentleman come to my booth with a pet monkey whom he had raised from the time it was 10 weeks old and the pair had been traveling around and performing for the past 25 years. The gentleman bought a cup of coffee for himself and a cup of milk for the monkey (come see me for the photos).
WATM: What did you want to be when you were a kid?
TCP: When I was a kid I wanted to be a National Geographic photographer.
